Tuck Studio will be closed for the month of March 2016 as we head Uptown to our new location at 122 Prince William Street, Saint John, New Brunswick. Stay tuned for our announcement of our re-opening! If you require a purchase, please don’t hesitate to call us!
or give us a call:
Tuck is a welcoming store where customers can simply pop in to purchase a quick decor item such as a new cushion, placemats or a vase, or they can choose to purchase large items such as sofas, dining room chairs or beds! Regardless of the reason for the visit, all three team members, Judith, Joshua, or Christiana will be more than happy to help you pick out the perfect item. We also provide interior design services in TUCK to anyone looking for some advice on placement of furnishings or wondering which light might go over their kitchen table. We encourage our clients to bring photos with them so we can give the best recommendation for your home or office.
However, should you require additional interior design services, we’ll hook you up with our sister company PUNCH INSIDE – please visit our site by clicking on the link below.

Two of our most recent commercial projects are completed. The interior designs were accomplished by our sister interior design firm PUNCH INSIDE (owner and operator of Tuck Studio – Judith Mackin).
The most recent completion is Saint John Ale House Pub in Saint John New Brunswick, client Peter Stoddart. Featured: All lighting, chairs, and stools by Tuck Studio.
The first is the newly opened House of Chan restaurant in Quispamsis, New Brunswick, clients Holly & Ken Singh. Featured: All lighting by Brothers Dressler, Stools by Lyon, recycled plastic seats by Loll, Tables, Magazine Rack, return bench and troughs by Gus* Modern.
And we are delighted to be featured on the Cover of East Coast Living Magazine’s Spring Issue along with our residential clients, Chris and Jodi Nadeau: Many of our products are featured in this design including: Gus* Modern, Normann Copenhagen, Ferm Living, Design House Stockholm, Areaware, to name just a few.
Although this Look Book was released as a seasonal themed look-book, we invite you to take a browse as it provides a true representation of what our studio carries.
Photo Kelly Lawson: Featured, Spencer Chair and two pawn stools by Gus Modern; ‘Bank in the form of a pig’s by Harry Allen, ‘Love is Blind’ Vase by Jessica Lertvilai, pillows – Normann Copenhagen Brick Cushion, wool pillow by Pi’lo; Indoor Outdoor Lounge floor mat, Chilewich, spider table by Bruce Gray, plywood flowers by Ferm Living, Bell Lamps by Normann Copenhagen, Mesh Pendant by Brothers Dressler and all shelving and decor elements from Normann Copenhagen.
TUCK occupies zero level of an uber-modern home designed by the award-winning architectural team Acre Architects built on a hectare of undeveloped land in the heart of the city’s heritage district (hence the project’s name, ‘Into the Wild‘; see ongoing coverage of the project in the prestigious journal International Architecture & Design).
The studio’s name was inspired by those canteens that were such a part of the summer camps many of us attended as children. Every morning we’d line up, waiting for it to open its doors. Once inside, dollar bill or mess of loose change clutched in our hot little hands, we’d agonize over the day’s selection of treats, novelties, and minor treasures. TUCK — featuring the finest in affordable design by some of the world’s most respected manufacturers (with the opportunity for the occasional splurge, too, of course!) — represents a grownup version of those first and formative ‘tuck’ canteen experiences.
TUCK has quickly established itself as a favorite destination stop for personal design shopping, in the city and in the region in general. We’re also high on everyone’s list of the best sources for wedding registries and corporate design gifts.
We have been featured in East Coast Living, House & Home, Style at Home, Chatelaine, Saltscapes, and the Globe and Mail.
Our return policy: All furniture, custom pieces, art and speciality ordered items are final sale. There are no returns on these items.
All decor item(s) can be exchanged for an in studio credit note within 30 days of purchase with receipt. Items must be in their original packaging and/or in the same condition as they were purchased.
In celebration of the past season, Sean McGrath had put together a wonderful ‘design-commercial’ for us. (Be sure to contact him for your business promo videos).
