A Bold Botanical Bathroom Transformation

About this project:

We see neutral, builder-grade bathrooms like this all the time—they often have good bones but lack the personality that makes a space feel memorable. For this project, we focused on cosmetic updates that would completely transform the room's look and feel while keeping the existing layout intact.

Working within a palette rooted in modern, minimalist design (black, white, and subtle green accents), we set out to prove that simplicity and personality can coexist. Bold hydrangea wallpaper from Cole & Son became the room's defining feature by introducing pattern, depth, and a sense of drama. We paired this with a new custom vanity in a dark finish to keep the wallpaper grounded, added warm brass hardware, updated lighting, and a bright stone countertop.

This goes to show how small spaces like bathrooms and powder rooms are the perfect opportunity to make some bold design choices. By embracing pattern and contrast within a compact footprint like this one, we were able to create a space that feels sophisticated, memorable, and distinctly custom for our clients.
