For our founder and Creative Director, Judith Mackin, the path to leadership took an unexpected turn via Vision Coaching.
“I didn’t think I needed coaching,” Judith says. “But I had no idea what I was talking about!”
A coffee catch-up with longtime friend, business colleague and now coach Peter Stoddart came at the right moment. Post-pandemic, Tuck was thriving — but Judith was burning out.
“I wasn’t thinking like a CEO. I was grinding. What I really wanted was time.”
Through coaching, Judith learned how to step back, delegate with trust, and focus on the bigger picture. That shift didn’t just bring personal balance, it led to real business results.
“Since I’ve received coaching, I’ve become a better leader — and our team has stepped into their own leadership. That, to me, is gold.”
The result? Tuck had its best year ever. More importantly, Tuck did it with intention, balance, and a healthier, more sustainable approach, something that’s never been more important for Canadian-owned businesses navigating the current economic climate.
As Tuck continues to grow — sourcing more local products, expanding services, and supporting our community — Judith’s leadership journey is at the core of how we move forward.
