Judith’s TWO mini-bedroom-makeovers!

Part One: Judith’s Bedroom Makeover
In 8 years of living in her home, Judith has never properly decorated her bedroom. Being a small space, used only for sleeping, the bedroom was the last thing on her to do list, until now! Today we’re sharing Judith’s bedroom makeover including videos, photos, and full descriptions of all the products used (most of which can be purchased from Tuck)!

Before
Judith was inspired by all things cozy to create this dreamy bedroom and we’re over the moon excited to share the finished result! Her goal was to create a bedroom that is relaxing, the perfect place to rest after a busy day. To do this she chose a neutral colour pallet and added visual interest through the use of soft textiles, subtle patterns, and plenty of plants.

With competing views through the large windows in this bedroom, Judith had to be careful what she chose as accents. Too vibrant, they would clash with the views. Too subtle, and they’d be lost. As the room’s primary focal point, Judith cleverly opted for Cole & Son’s Nuvolette Wallpaper. This etherial wallpaper is neutral, with the cloud pattern making the room feel like an extension of the views surrounding it. This thoughtful selection lends beautifully to the calm and relaxing aesthetic Judith was aiming for.

The Carmichael Bed fuses traditional and contemporary sensibilities, bringing clean, modern lines to a classic style. The design features a fully upholstered headboard, footboard and side rails, with elegant, tapered solid wood legs. Part Two: The Guest Bedroom Makeover
A well used but neglected room in the Mackin-Moore household is the guest bedroom. Having seen many visitors, the room has served well as a resting place for friends and family when they come to visit. Judith has finally had an opportunity to show this room some love and she didn’t hold back. Given that their guests often have small children in tow, or are themselves artists and creative individuals, Judith wanted this room to be bright, colourful, and energizing.
Before
In a guest room, it’s fun to play with bold ideas like Judith did here. People visiting are on vacation and looking to be inspired and energized. What better way to do that than to inject a room with pops of colour? The decor elements of this room also strike that happy balance between an adult space and a space geared toward children. It’s sophisticated yet playful. Perfect for the young, and the young at heart.
The primary starting point for this space was artwork by Robert Moore. In true Robert Moore fashion, these latest acrylic paintings from him are full of bold colours from deep sea blue to citrus oranges. These colours dictated the other elements Judith brought into the room.
