A spa-like washroom and two dreamy bedrooms! Jeff & Laura Brewer’s Before & After Reveal, Part 2!

This is the second part of a two part blog series featuring the beautiful home of Jeff & Laura Brewer. Part 1, Tired of your basement? So were Jeff & Laura! Check out our Before & After Part 1 + Share to Win!” featured the transformation of the lower level of Jeff & Laura’s home in Quispamsis.

For part two, we reveal their spa-like washroom and their dreamy bedroom before heading back downstairs for a look at the new guest bedroom!

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Jeff & Laura in the past. In fact, we’ve been working with them on their home on and off for over 6 years! Check out the first before & after reveal which featured their main floor kitchen and Living Room, “Birch & Beauty: the Kennebecasis House”.

This isn’t uncommon in our world. We have the unique pleasure of working with clients for years, helping them to turn their houses into their dream homes. Rarely does a renovation wrap up in less than a year. The method of developing a plan and implementing it over a longer period of time is much more manageable for most homeowners. The phrase “slow and steady wins the race” comes to mind. While this isn’t always true, we think it definitely is for Jeff & Laura’s home! They took their time to do things right and now they get to kick back and reap the rewards!

Before we get into the photos, there are some people to thank!

And last but certainly not least, we’d like to thank Jeff & Laura for including us in this makeover!

Washroom

Now onto the before & after reveal! First, the washroom! As far as washroom makeovers go, we think this is one our most dramatic transformations. A bit of backstory. Jeff & Laura came to us and told us they wanted an all white “spa-like” washroom. What did this mean for them? Marble tiles, white walls, organic wood elements, sleek fixtures, and an overall minimalist aesthetic.

Before the renovations, the washroom wasn’t unlike many others. Simple layout with a tub/ shower combo, a vanity, and a small window. It was clear from the beginning that Jeff & Laura wanted a complete overhaul, removing the tub, knocking down walls, and installing a large floor to ceiling window.

Before

After

The shower/ tub combo was removed and made way for a large walk-in glass shower. This completely opened up the room and made it feel more spacious. To let more light in, the small window was replaced with a larger almost floor to ceiling window! To limit the obstruction of sight lines and lend to that minimalist aesthetic, they installed a floating toilet.
